About Rotary
Rotary International is a global network of service volunteers. It is the world's largest service organisation for business and professional people, with some 1,210,905 members operating in 168 countries world-wide. There are some 58,000 Rotarians in Great Britain and Ireland in 1,845 clubs, helping those in need and working towards world understanding and peace. Its a fulfilling role, and Rotarians can get involved as much or as little as their time will allow. But there is much more. Clubs meet on a regular basis, which allows members to build firm friendships. Every Rotarian has a right to attend any Club meeting anywhere in the world, so there is always somewhere to go, and people to meet, wherever business or leisure travel may take you.
The Rotary Club of Eastbourne AM are different from many Rotary Clubs in that we attract an extremely diverse membership in terms of age range with both younger and more mature members. We are also a mixed Club welcoming both men and women. Eastbourne AM is committed to helping worthwhile causes in Eastbourne, in the UK and around the world. Through strong friendships and a desire to get involved, we search out new projects to support, promote and enhance. A new perspective on helping others. Eastbourne AM depends on the commitment of existing members and the enthusiasm of visitors and guests. As a visitor, you can expect a warm welcome, lively conversation and an insight into the charitable work of our Club. Add to that an inspirational speaker and a delicious cooked breakfast, and you have enough reasons to give up an hour of your time.
The Rotary Club of Eastbourne Sovereign is one of 4 Rotary clubs in the town of Eastbourne and one of 32,000 clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas in the World. We currently have 25 members who are part of the 1.2 million men and women representing Rotary International. Whether you are thinking of visiting us, joining us or need more information, we would love to hear from you. We can assure you of a warm welcome.
